Drama tutor: Martine Jones MA, HonANCM, BA (hons) English and Drama, A ADA
Martine trained at University college Chester, and the University of Liverpool in English and Dramatic Arts. She teaches Speech and Drama in private schools around the North West and North Wales. She continues to train with LAMDA at their London headquarters and has coached pupils successfully through many sessions of examinations in the Speaking of Verse and Prose, Improvisation, Mime, and Acting, with pupils achieving excellent results. She has directed many large scale productions, including Sweet Charity, The Wizard of Oz, Shakers and Bugsy Malone; as well as giving pupils the chance to show their abilities in various group projects and studio productions. She is keen to develop the performance and technical skills of all pupils in drama, and enjoys seeing the personal development of youngsters that drama often brings.
Dance tutor: Jennie Palmer B.Ed (hons) primary English and Performing Arts, A ADA
Jennie has danced since the age of 4 and has worked within many dance companies, training pupils for productions, shows and competitions. She has worked professionally within a pantomime company, but has now focused her attention on being the principal of her own dance school based in the north west. She also works with pupils from a range of primary schools focusing on dance. She has choreographed for a variety of shows and is proud that she has helped the current British Troupe Champions to win the national competition this year. She enjoys watching the children as they develop in ability and confidence through her classes.
Dance tutor: Carrie-Ann Bartlett
Carrie-Ann began her dance training at a young age, studying tap, ballet and modern dance. She obtained excellent exam results, to the highest levels, in all disciplines, as well as performing and competing regularly throughout the North West and North Wales. While at university, Carrie-Ann continued to dance for fun, as principle dancer and choreographer for Leeds University Stage Musicals Society, working on productions such as Sweet Charity and Me and My Girl. She then spent a year in America studying rhythm tap under the guidance of Sarah Mason (founder of Footprints Tap Ensemble). On returning to the UK Carrie-Ann has danced and choreographed for ‘Dance Expose’ and founded the Strathclyde University Dance Society which is now into it’s 6th successful year. Carrie-Ann loves to dance and her aim is to encourage every individual to develop their dance ability whilst having fun!
Dance tutor: Stephanie
Stephanie is a registered RAD ballet teacher and ISTD ballet, tap, modern and national teacher. She has already been teaching at Tiptoes since 2000, mainly as a cover teacher, but now has the pleasure of taking on the full time post of Ballet teacher. She has taught at local dance schools in the Preston area and at Preston college on the dance course. She has most recently been teaching in the Bolton area for the local council, assisting them in their aim to get dance into schools. She enjoys teaching and by helping the children to enjoy dance through her enthusiasm she can help them to achieve their best in class and in examinations.
